UPDATED 30th December 2020

Latest Government restrictions update

Following the announcement earlier today, Staffordshire will fall into tier 4 of Coronavirus restrictions with effect from Thursday 31st December 2020.

Thankfully, tennis is able to continue in Tier 4, but with significantly tougher rules. We must therefore advise you of the below changes, effective from tomorrow:

  • Singles play permitted (including players that are not from the same household)

  • Doubles can only be played where all players are from the same household

  • No Mix-in tennis is permitted until further notice

  • Access to Clubhouse is only permitted to access toilet facilities and floodlights

  • Changing room facilities remain closed

  • Facemasks must be worn at all times when entering the Clubhouse for any reason

  • No socialising before or after play

  • Hand sanitiser to be used immediately before and after play

  • Social distancing to be maintained before, during and after play

Travel Restrictions - we would also ask that you are aware of and follow the travel restrictions that you are personally subject to. This is detailed in the LTA guidance to tennis players, LTA guidance for Tennis Activity by Tier and Government guidance for tier 4.

Government Tier 4 Restrictions

As ever, thank you for following the guidance and making sure we can all continue to play tennis safely.

We are of course disappointed to be advising of these further restrictions and hope we will be able to get back to unrestricted tennis as soon as possible.

Take care and stay safe.
